Ben Eltham is a writer, journalist, researcher and trade unionist. Currently based at Monash University’s School of Media, Film and Journalism, he teaches in the innovative Masters of Cultural and Creative Industries. He frequently writes about Australian culture for publications including Meanjin Quarterly, Sydney Review of Books, Overland, ABR, Kill Your Darlings, Jacobin, Crikey, ArtsHub and The Guardian. He is a member of the National Freelancers Committee of the Media, Arts and Entertainment Alliance and is the president of the Monash branch of the National Tertiary Education Union.
