May Day 2021

Join us on Saturday 1 st May for May Day 2021 – international workers day – in Port Adelaide, Kaurna Yerta.

This year May Day will be celebrated in Port Adelaide to coincide with the centenary of the Port Adelaide Workers Memorial, on the corner of Commercial Road and St Vincent Street, Port Adelaide.

The May Day march commences at 12:30pm at the SA Maritime Museum, 126 Lipson St, and marches to the Waterside Workers Hall, 11 Nile St, where there will be speeches, live music and other activities in the hall and along Nile St.

There are other events throughout the day (and the month of May) including an exhibition of union banners at the Maritime Union of Australia hall and the ‘Labour of Love’ pasteup project.
