About the Artist

Jennifer Mills (facilitator/chair)
Jennifer Mills is an author, editor and critic based on Kaurna Yerta who has long been an advocate for the rights of writers and artists, including as a freelance delegate at MEAA and in her current role as Chair of the Australian Society of Authors.

Ren Wyld (author/poet)
K.A Ren Wyld is a writer living on the coast south of Adelaide. In addition to two novels and a children’s non-fiction book, Ren has published short stories, narrative non-fiction, poetry, opinion pieces, reviews, and more. Their third novel, Whichway Shimmering Dust, will be published by UQP early 2027.

Violette Ayad (actor/writer/director)
Violette Ayad was born on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja to Palestinian and Lebanese parents. Violette is now based on Gadigal land where she works as an actor, director, and voice artist.

Ronan Gallagher (musician, Musicians for Palestine)
Ronan is a queer singer/songwriter, activist and organiser in the local music scene on Kaurna Yarta. Their advocacy with Musicians For Palestine is focused on centring creative solidarity and intersectional values within the music community.
