Artist Opportunity

In partnership with Next Wave we are seeking expressions of interest from South Australia based multidisciplinary artists or collectives to develop a new, live work which will premiere in Melbourne at Next Wave Festival 2018 as well as a season in Adelaide at Vitalstatistix.

Eligibility – Submissions MUST BE:

• Prepared to premiere the new work at NWF 2018 followed by a presentation in Adelaide at Vitalstatistix (dates TBC)
• From South Australian artists only
• Led by an emerging practitioner – this means you are within the first five years of your professional artistic career.

Details:

The selected artist/collective will receive from Next Wave:

• An assigned Associate Producer
• Assistance seeking further funding
• Assistance securing a venue for the work in Melbourne
• Support with negotiating partnerships and accessing resources for the completion of the project
• Assistance with developing budgeting and project management skills
• Some marketing and publicity support
• Assistance with risk assessment and management
• Ticketing through Next Wave’s ticketing system
• Regular feedback on the conceptual development of their project
• $15,000 cash

The selected curator/curatorial collective will receive from Vitalstatistix:

• Development Venues, Mentoring and additional support
• $5000 cash towards presentation in Adelaide in 2018 or 2019 (to be negotiated between artist and Vitalstatistix)
