Aira Firdaus

Aira is an experienced organiser, activist and a proud trade unionist. She has held pivotal roles at the United Workers Union, leading grassroots campaigns to organise workers in precarious and low-paid industries in Australia. Through her organising work, Aira regularly works with artists to create a shared sense of purpose and encourage collective action through visual art. Aira is currently the National Advocacy and Policy Officer at Working Women’s Centre Australia.

Aira is also a qualified accountant and has extensive experience working as a financial auditor across both not-for-profit and profit organisations in Australia and Malaysia.

Aira holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance from Deakin University, and a Master of Environment and Sustainability from Monash University.
