A witty and moving depiction of a life in dance and the relentless desire to just keep dancing.

HERE NOW Trilogy, created and performed by Ryuichi Fujimura, is a powerful series of three short dance solos – ‘How Did I Get Here?’, ‘How I Practice My Religion’, and ‘Fall! Falter!! Dance!!!’. Blending his dry wit, poignant storytelling and fluid physicality, Fujimura conducts a deeply personal reflection of his life, exploring themes of aging, identity, and the relentless desire to keep performing.

This trilogy, which centres around his life as a contemporary dancer for the past 25 years, will mark the first time that these solos are performed together. Together, they depict the journey of an artist reckoning with the passing of time, the body’s shifting capabilities, and the art of performance. HERE NOW Trilogy invites audiences to join in this reflection, interrogating the meaning and purpose of their own lives.
