Jennifer is a dynamic creative leader working across multiple artforms as a producer, curator, and DJ. In August 2024 she was appointed as Vitalstatistix’s eighth Artistic Director following a long-standing relationship with the organisation with roles as Creative Producer (2024), Executive Producer (2021–22), General Manager/CEO (2009–11), documenter and artist. 

As a producer, Jennifer worked with Branch Nebula (Sydney), Karul Projects (Gold Coast) and Blacktown Arts (Sydney). She was part of the curatorial team at Sydney WorldPride and was the Creative Producer of Zephyr Quartet. Alongside her work with small organisations, Jennifer has been embedded in the independent arts sector for over two decades, collaborating with artists across the world. In her early career, she worked in leadership roles at Feast Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Adelaide Film Festival, Darwin Festival and was one of the co-founders of the Festival of Unpopular Culture. Her performance work has featured in Singapore Design Week and LiveDreams presented by Performance Space.

Jennifer has served on the Boards of YWCA Australia, Renew Adelaide, and ActNow Theatre. In a moment of deviation from her career in the arts, she worked in State politics for independent and minor parties with representatives in both Houses of Parliament.

Jennifer is one half of BadJelly DJs who have been playing records in the underground party scene for the last decade, co-curating club nights such as BonaDrag, Vaginyl and Goth Disco.

Maggie is an accomplished production and project producer with extensive experience in the national arts sector. Prior to her appointment as General Manager at the beginning of 2025, Maggie recently served as Production Manager at Vitalstatistix. She has previously production managed the Music and City Lights programs at Illuminate Adelaide, overseeing high-profile events. 

An avid music lover, Maggie worked as a Production Coordinator for WOMADelaide, where she delivered stage and site artist requirements, international freight, artist hospitality, and recruitment between 2020-24. 

She also managed tour coordination of artists on WOMAD New Zealand, and has held positions at Adelaide Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Windmill, Brink Productions, Vitalstatistix, Darwin Festival and DarkMOFO.

Danielle is an award-winning Malaysian-Australian actor, writer, theatre maker and producer who graduated from Flinders Drama Centre in 2021. She has performed independently and worked with various arts companies, including ActNow Theatre, State Theatre Company South Australia, Windmill Theatre, South Australian Playwrights Theatre, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Infinity Ensemble (Melbourne) and DreamBIG Festival. She is passionate about championing Asian-Australian stories on stage and screen, hoping to inspire more Asian-Australians to pursue an arts career.

In 2025, Danielle was the recipient of the ActNow Theatre MakeSpace x Adelaide Fringe Residency, for which she developed and premiered her second multi-disciplinary solo work, The Good Decisions Project. Most recently, she toured her first solo show, Caught In Between, to Melbourne Fringe and Sydney Fringe, where it was shortlisted for Best in Theatre.

As a producer and arts worker, Danielle has worked with both local and interstate arts companies, including ActNow Theatre, Contemporary Asian Australian Performance, Australian Plays Transform, and OzAsia Festival.

Danielle joined the Vitals team in January 2025 in the role of Engagement Coordinator and contributes to program coordination, artist liaison, funding, events and partnerships.

Indigo is a writer, emerging author, and one of the Engagement Coordinators at Vitalstatistix. In this role, she develops and delivers strategic marketing and communications to grow audiences and support the organisation’s experimental performance work.

Indigo writes the Arts & Culture column for The Note magazine and is committed to amplifying local artists’ voices.

She joined the team in December 2024, bringing skills in digital strategy, community engagement, and storytelling. Indigo holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Creative Writing) from Flinders University, where she contributed to a student-led anthology set to be published in 2025. She is thrilled to be part of a feminist organisation that nurtures artists and boundary-pushing work.

Rose is the Administrative Assistant at Vitalstatistix, where she supports daily operations with a mix of planning, coordination and communication. She plays a key role in handling venue bookings and behind-the-scenes details that maintain our home, Waterside Workers Hall.

Born and raised in the Port Adelaide and Semaphore area, Rose brings a strong sense of local connection to Vitals. She values the variety of working in an arts organisation and enjoys supporting artists and projects that challenge and inspire.

With a broad creative background, including music, dance, visual art, and theatre — Rose has a deep appreciation for the arts. She’s particularly interested in fan-led communities and how they celebrate and share creative work in open, accessible ways.

At the core of her work is a desire to do meaningful, collaborative work alongside kind, interesting people and to keep learning as she goes.

Dr Gemma Beale is a National Research Officer for the AMWU. She is an expert in industrial relations, gender studies, precarious work, and the future of work.

Before moving into research, she worked in the South Australian arts, women’s and community sectors for almost a decade. Gemma was Communications Coordinator at Vitalstatistix from 2015-2018 and the organisation is thrilled to welcome her back.

She holds a PhD from Flinders University and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Gender, Work and Social Inquiry from The University of Adelaide.

She has a passion for economic justice, clear thinking, thoughtful conversation, and accessible, feminist good times.

Christie is an experienced arts leader with a background in festivals, local government, education and venue management. She has a strong commitment to social outcomes that progress creativity, support artists and generate wellbeing for all.

Through working in Scotland, Canada and across Australia, Christie has built a vast network that she draws on for inspiration and connection. She feels purpose in assisting creativity to be used and valued by all citizens.

Christie is currently the Head of External Affairs at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the largest arts complex in South Australia with a mix of commercial and public purpose arts programming and a million visitors annually.

Christie also lectures in Festivals at Flinders University and is co-owner of a neighbourhood Café in Alberton, The Pear Coffeehouse.

Aira is an experienced organiser, activist and a proud trade unionist. She has held pivotal roles at the United Workers Union, leading grassroots campaigns to organise workers in precarious and low-paid industries in Australia. Through her organising work, Aira regularly works with artists to create a shared sense of purpose and encourage collective action through visual art. Aira is currently the National Advocacy and Policy Officer at Working Women’s Centre Australia.

Aira is also a qualified accountant and has extensive experience working as a financial auditor across both not-for-profit and profit organisations in Australia and Malaysia.

Aira holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance from Deakin University, and a Master of Environment and Sustainability from Monash University.

Valerie is a theatre maker and arts worker. Throughout her practice, she has focused on cross cultural, collaborative and interdisciplinary processes. Recent and past works in a range of roles include: Performer, Future World Hypothesis for Performosa Theatre, Taiwan; Director/mentor, Caught In Between by Danielle Lim for Adelaide Fringe; Director, Bang On The Nerve: A Modern Asian-Australian Adaptation; Performer/devisor, The Island Project for Australian Performance Exchange and Performosa Theatre; Facilitator, CAAP (Contemporary Asian Australian Performance) and OzAsia Festival 2021- 2024 Artist Lab SA; Associate Director, Single Asian Female, State Theatre Company South Australia; CAAP: writer/actor/director Double Delicious, Sydney Festival, Asia Topa, OzAsia Festival and interstate tours; performer/collaborator, The Folding Wife for Urban Theatre Projects and Performing Lines, interstate tours; for National Theatre of Parramatta: Performer, Swallow; Director, Let Me Know When You Get Home; Writer, Voiceover, Queerstories Podcast; Writer, The Art of Creating with Family, Diversity Arts Australia.

Valerie is an Associate Artist at ActNow Theatre and works as a coordinator, facilitator, mentor and collaborator. She is the Artistic Coordinator for their Cultural Leaders program.

Dani has devoted her career to championing the arts and cultural sector in Australia with a broad spectrum of experience encompassing local, interstate, and international events and tours, with a driving belief of the transformative power of the arts to enrich both community wellbeing and individual lives.

Dani has held executive and management roles across Marketing, Communications and Business Development at the Adelaide Festival Centre, Adelaide Festival and Melbourne International Arts Festival (now RISING).

In 2020, Dani joined the inaugural Illuminate Adelaide, playing a key role in shaping the event’s visual identity and tone during its formative years and contributing to its successful launch and growth through to 2022.

As Director of Marketing & Communications, Dani brings a deep expertise and enduring passion for the arts to enhance the visibility and impact of Arts Projects Australia’s national events and touring programs, including WOMADelaide.

Becci is an arts and events producer, who has spent her career working with artists and arts organisations, including the Helpmann Academy, Illuminate Adelaide, the Adelaide Festival of Ideas, Access2Arts, MOD., FELTspace, Adelaide Film Festival, Mercury Cinema, Adelaide Fringe, Adelaide Writers Week, Insite Arts, and Vitalstatistix. She currently holds a full-time position as Manager, Events at the University of Adelaide.

As a Noongar woman and descendant of the Stolen Generations, she is a strong advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership, development and recognition, and brings that passion to her role on the Vitalstatistix Board.

She is a long-time Vitals fan and deeply values its presence in this country’s arts ecology as a site of experimentation and a presenter and developer of genre-bending work.

She is honoured to contribute to the strength and longevity of Vitals, and looks forward to playing a role in its future.
